Abstract

Single crystals of pure and zinc acetate doped zinc tris thiourea sulphate (ZTS) were grown from aqueous solution by slow evaporation technique at room temperature. The lattice parameters and crystal structure were found out using powder X-ray diffraction analysis. A Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) study confirms that the various functional groups present in the grown crystal. Microhardness studies were carried out using Vickers microhardness tester at room temperature. The second harmonic generation efficiencies were studied by Kurtz powder SHG test.
