Crystal growth, UV – Visible and PXRD characterization nonlinear optical TSCCM and TSCCS Single Crystal

Abstract

Single crystals of semiorganic material thiosemicarbazide cadmium chloride (TSCCM) and thiosemicarbazide cadmium sulphate (TSCCS) were grown from slow
evaporation technique using water as a solvent. The optical absorption studies show that the grown material has wide transparency in the entire visible region. The band gap energy of the grown crystals was also calculated. The powder XRD technique reveals that the TSCCM and TSCCS crystallize in monoclinic crystal system and the respective lattice parameter were determined.
