Abstract

Several synthetic routes have been achieved to the synthesis of 2-amino4H-pyran derivatives. As a follow up of their work, we hereby report 11-chloro-5-(3,4-
dimethoxyphenyl)-13-phenyl-6,7-dihydro-1H-pyrimido[5',4':5,6]pyrano[2,3-a]acridin4(5H)-one was obtained by treating 2-amino-10-chloro-4-(3-methoxyphenyl)-12-
phenyl-5,6-dihydro-4H-pyrano[2,3-a]acridine-3-carbonitrile with malononitrile in the presence of methyl amine with ethanol solution. Synthesized compounds were
examined for antioxidant activity
