Abstract

Single crystals of ferric doped ammonium penta borate (APB) have been grown by slow evaporation method. The grown crystal was subjected to powder X-ray diffraction analysis to confirm that the crystal belongs to the orthorhombic crystal structure. The exact weight percentage of the metal dopant was determined by Inductively Coupled Plasma analysis. The optical transmittance of the crystal was recorded using the UV-Vis-NIR spectrophotometer.
